Hi! I'm Meg
My Fashion Resumé
My fashion resume involves a loooot of boutiques, one-off custom projects, and a love for the craft behind garment-making and wearing. I love seeing an item be functional, beautiful, and slowly made.
How I'd describe my personal style in 5 words
Frantic, spunky, comfy, global, and timeless.
My biggest style inspiration
Jane Birkin, My Dad, and Twiggy.
The one piece I always reach for
A vintage white Laura Ashley vest with trim. I love it because I remember where I was and who I was with when I bought it. It has a life story with me.
A place that inspires my wardrobe
There are a few places that inspire my wardrobe: my hometown of Birmingham, AL, archives and special collections, museums, and libraries.
What fashion means to me
Fashion is powerful. We choose how we feel every day through our clothes, so what we wear matters. To me, fashion is getting to be a kid again and playing dress-up. It is also a space to validate the type of woman I’ve grown up to be and will continue to evolve into. I love that it will never stop changing as long as I continue to challenge myself and try new things.
My favorite styling trick
Pinterest and a pen. Write down everything that you love and watch your preferences show up clearer and clearer.
One outfit tip every shopper can use
My outfit tip is to have a couple of pieces that stay consistent to you, whether it’s sunglasses, earrings, a necklace, a button-down, midi skirts, etc. A staple of yours that feels simple yet personal can be grounding while playing with new styles!
